Client Lead – Media Agency

My client is a digitally-led performance media trading agency and data-driven search specialist. The agency was a child of the GFC, a period characterised by downward pressure on marketing budgets and media fragmentation. In 2014, the business transformed into full-service media agency with a view to servicing those clients that often fall through the net at large multinational agencies. The agency transformed into a flexible and dynamic business that merges technology and the creative use of media with capabilities that cross media planning and trading, business strategy, creative, production, SEO, SEM, programmatic, social, content marketing, and data & analytics. These capabilities are in-house and integrated, delivering one of the best all-round marketing services in Australia.

As Client Lead your role is to provide our clients with the best possible service, maximise client happiness, monitor and maximise profitability and manage and direct workflow throughout the business. Alongside the Managing Director, you will help to drive efficiency throughout the business while consistently identifying additional revenue streams across all channels for the benefit of your clients. This requires significant responsibility from you, a key custodian of the agency and internally the representative of our client’s business priorities and expectations.

You are expected to be an expert across communications strategy and planning and will understand and facilitate best practice implementation delivery so that you are able to guide and direct the team on behalf of the agency. You will work closely with the Stratalite to clarify the Client brief and uncover the ‘WHY’ in the brief to then respond with a clear cross channel response to meet the objectives. During this process you will also work closely with planning & trading, strategy,SEO, SEM, programmatic, social, content marketing, and data & analytics. The combination of data and strategy as the two key fundamental components is a concept we call ‘stratalytics’. That is the equal weighting of data-led learnings and human truths to provide critical analysis and action. In order to fulfil this commitment, we have created a new tool to guide us through the process, to analyse and visualise vast amounts of data to provide key learnings. It all comes to life across four key steps: Immerse, Decipher, Enable and Acclimate – a process aptly named IDEA.

7+ years of real world experience within a communication agency with strong references An understanding of the role and tactics available within all media channels (traditional, digital and content/creative). Advanced knowledge of all media research, planning and buying tools required for media planning and ability to analyse the output and identify insights that influence our recommendation. Exceptional negotiation skills to maximise value delivered for clients Strong relationship management skills – client, team and media
