Communications & Publications Coordinator

About the role

Exceptional content is synonymous with Arc. From our most vibrant campaigns, to our most niche sub-brands we keep things fresh, interesting and direct. The role of Communications & Publications Coordinator oversees the planning and execution of all student-facing communications across website, email, social media, print and public relations. They will empower students in the delivery of major publications including training, editing content and mentoring.

Arc is Australia’s largest student organisation with an incredibly dynamic array of opportunities. We provide the best student experience to 60,000 students at UNSW through Clubs & Societies, Sport, Volunteering, Legal & Advocacy, Parties & Events and heaps more. Responsibilities

· Compose vibrant copy and engaging campaigns that communicate Arc products, student services, opportunities to those studying at UNSW

· Oversee Arc Voice & Style Guide and its application across written and digital communications

· Support the Marketing Team in their day-to-day and specialist operations with both internal clients, external clients and branding activities

· Oversee the strategy and activities of Arc’s major publications (Blitz, Tharunka, UNSWeetened) including timelines, content and editing

· Recruit, train, supervise and mentor student-staff who execute publications

Skills & experience

· Experience in creating exciting digital marketing campaigns and engaging social marketing campaigns

· Experience working with a creative team with the ability to run with briefs, create relevant content and deliver dynamic campaigns

· Knowledge of the university sector and student demographics

· Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction

· Highly developed interpersonal skills including training, coaching and mentoring

· Excellent oral and written communication skills with advanced editing skills

· Proficient in use of design software and Adobe suite
