Content and Social Editor

Guardian Labs (GLabs) is a creative commercial team working with brands to create new and innovative partnerships, products and communities that build, grow, and extend audience reach and engagement.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Content and Social Editor to join the GLabs team in our Sydney office on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a core member of the team, the Content and Social Editor will be responsible for managing off-platform channels, including growing performance and engagement metrics, crafting strong social copy, and development/implementation of innovative social formats. This role will also work with the key senior members of the GLabs team to create content strategies to meet client audience and communication objectives, identify audience insights and patterns, identify new opportunities and trends within social media, and recommend strategies to implement within Glabs channels.

We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in creative thinking and creating editorially-minded concepts, a strong understanding of content strategy and digital marketing and the proven ability to craft compelling, snappy short form copy for social channels and edit/sub-edit longer form copy. They will also have relevant media, publisher or agency experience working in content (editorial, communications or marketing), experience working in a fast-paced digital environment and a good working knowledge/interest of digital publishing, social media and SEO. Prior experience with publishing tools, CMS and reporting and analysing digital metrics will be highly regarded.
