Content Creator/ Designer

Dear Potential Team Member,

We are on the hunt for a content creator to join our extended family at Mastermind Consulting, based in our Rozelle office. Someone with creative flair who is wanting to utilise their expertise to bring clients’ stories to life visually over social media platforms and via compelling direct to consumer marketing collateral.

This is a hands on role where you can utilise your craft of creative development in a very practical setting to deliver marketing stories in a way that drives results. You’ll work on multiple clients simultaneously, where your skills will be essential to telling their stories (often with small budgets given the agricultural nature of many of our clients).

So who are we looking for?

This is not just any role – you’ll need to be open to multi-task, craft a compelling visual story with attention to detail and competently communicate to our clients and their respective consumers. You may have had a previous career in photography (lifestyle/ food/ wine would be awesome!) and are now looking to broaden these skills and utilize them by helping to convey brand stories to life, dabbling in some video creation aswell from time to time.

You must be willing to evolve your skills and keep up to speed with the ever changing social media environment.

This is a hands on role, with lots of scope to make a difference by getting involved in clients’ projects. Your role will involve:

* Leading the creative direction for new clients and develop existing clients brand look, feel and content direction.
* Producing social media content for a range of platforms – focus on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn
* Creating photography, video and creative content for campaigns according to strategy and content plans
* Staying on top of trends and best practice approaches to ensure social media content is meeting customer’s business needs.
* Creatively producing content to bring brand stories to life, often with limited visual assets and small budgets.
* Developing direct to consumer marketing materials to drive growth of visitation and direct sales – eg wine club brochures, Direct marketing flyers, brochures etc.

The ideal person will have:

* Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, working across Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and more
* Solid depth of experience (3-4 years) producing digital content and social media content calendars
* The ability to recognize, produce, create and develop great audio and visual content across multiple social channels
* Photography/ video editing skills
* A feel for design aesthetic making sure there’s consistency across clients – knowledge of design principles is important.
* General understanding of the digital and social media eco-system
* The ability to take direction and work independently.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Great interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

This is a full time role, and we’re flexible to it being structured part time for the ideal candidate, depending on the candidate and their commitments if this suits.

About our Team – Trish’s vision

I have built Mastermind Consulting over the last eleven years quite differently to the high profile corporate roles that I held previously. I wanted to build a company where we are a genuine marketing partner for brands, and with a culture that attracts people who want to be hands on and really make a difference to our clients’ marketing campaigns. They are small businesses that we work with, and I’m incredibly proud that we offer a real partnership to our clients.

We’re a small and nimble consulting team made up of senior marketing professionals with a like-minded vision. We are ambitious, but understand that some days we need to pick up sick children, attend family functions or balance post-graduate study. We work with some amazing clients in the food, wine and lifestyle industries, and focus on marketing strategy, content creation, digital and social media.

The big difference is that we’re all very hands on. Given we’re a small team (there will be six of us with the new team member on board), we get highly involved in our client’s campaigns, and there’s a holistic approach to marketing that means we’re always looking at the big picture and having to look at a range of social media and digital touch points to drive solutions. Digital, social, content and direct marketing are not seen in isolation.

The breadth of projects that we work on for our clients means that there’s great diversity at any given time. There’s always something new to learn, and a willingness from clients to implement strategic ideas across digital, social media and content marketing projects.
