Decorative Events & Exhibitions (DE&E) is Sydney’s leading event decorating and styling company with over 140,000 individual product lines and extensive in-house custom capabilities. Our creative team aspire to provide imaginative and innovative hire products and event designs for any event, activation or exhibition. The team understands the importance of creating the perfect aesthetics to reflect the true sense of an objective. Our professional service includes event concept, design, 3D renders, production, signage, branding, installation, styling, logistics, marketing and sales support services, making us a unique one-stop shop for all exhibition and creative needs.

The Role

The Creative Assistant role is perfect for those who want’s to eventually pursue a career in Event Styling. You will gain insight, leadership and guidance from a highly experienced team of Stylists while you:

Manage the diary, set and confirm appointments
Coordinate materials required for meetings, and attend as required
Process, follow up and send quotes under guidance from the team
Convert quotes into bookings, create files, confirm stock availability and met deadlines
Prepare visual presentations to accompany quotes
Send tax invoices and communicate payment requirements
Attend a selection of event set-ups
Source and obtain quotes for new products and sub-hire items on request
Conduct post-event follow ups with clients to foster good relations and help us continue to achieve the highest standard of customer service
You will have the opportunity to shadow an incredibly talented Head Designer who will take you under their wing. Learn the ins- and -outs of Sydney’s premier event spaces, critical communication and time management skills, and how to become the best in the industry. And who are you?

Experience in a customer facing environment in Sales or Events
You have worked in Event Styling, Visual Merchandising or Event Management
Someone with tertiary education in event management, interior design, visual merchandising or a related discipline
A positive, hard working and detail-oriented character with zeal and passion for styling and events

You have a creative flair for Styling, and a passion for what is on trend in design
If you have experience using WinHire software or other inventory management/sales software it will be advantageous.
