Creative Lead

Our company is driven to find the next big thing, and we’re hoping that can include you, as our newest Creative Lead. We’re looking for someone that can inspire others, come up with unique ideas but is equally happy to do the hands-on work to turn that idea into a reality. We are looking for someone to take our creative to a new level as we continue to grow, so the ideal candidate will demonstrate they can deliver dynamic and unique creative ideas, will be a natural and skilled copywriter, as well as being great at project management, and managing a team.

As our Creative Lead, you will play a significant role in developing the Modibodi global brand and the creative-artistic direction and management for all global communications and assets, and you will work closely with our Marketing & PR Director, in-house designer and external agencies to do this.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Spearhead and manage the creative strategy and execution for the three brands: Modibodi, RED by Modibodi and MO by Modibodi. This includes; developing and managing the quarterly and monthly creative plan; and putting forward unique and creative ideas/campaigns for key marketing initiatives for approval (storyboarding, mood boards, writing copy and a business rationale)
Develop and improve on the Modibodi branding to tell our brand story in the most creative and unique way that will drive customer consideration, engage more customers and encourage more people to purchase
Be the champion and owner of the brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications
Work with the Marketing Manager and In-house designer (at times we may also involve outside creative agencies) to develop all global content from idea to execution, and ensure it is unique, it is creative and consistently represents our brand image and tone of voice – eg. social media posts, EDMs, flyers, packaging, promotional materials, video advertisements for digital. This may involve the actual production, so some graphic design or video editing skills are required in this role
Copywriter for all promotional content (EDMs, flyers etc) and website (excluding social media)
Artistic lead for all brand, product and social media photo shoots and video shoots from campaign ideas, developing the project plan, project management, to the execution of the campaign (eg. booking photographers, sourcing models, hiring studios)
Suggest ways to improve onsite UX design, and work closely with IT, our Ecommerce Manager and Graphic Designer to prototype creative concepts to increase user experience and conversion
Identify opportunities to develop innovative and differentiated customer experiences and breathe life into these ideas through a combination of storytelling, a curiosity for fashion and feminine hygiene technology trends, and a focus on sustainability
Demonstrate design thought leadership through expert understanding of customer needs, design trends, design best practices, market trends, and the competitive landscape
Give and solicit real time feedback from other designers to continually raise the quality and craftsmanship of Modibodi’s design and brand
Report into and work with the Marketing-PR Director to achieve business goals and outputs
Oversee the creative budget managing expenses to come in at or below budget

3-5 years of experience as a creative lead or working on creative advertising campaigns in agencies, from developing the rationale, vision/storyboard, moodboard including the copy/message/TOV to overseeing the production on time and within budget
Highly skilled graphic design, illustration and/or video editing skills
Understanding and past experience creating integrated content across all marketing channels from digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline and print
Strong creative vision and brand building, with an understanding of business objectives
Some experience in leading a team of creative talent would be desirable
