Medtronic has a newly created role for a dynamic, Customer Marketing Manager who understands the Customer journey experience to join our fast paced and highly respected Diabetes team in Sydney.

A Day in the Life
As Customer Marketing Manager – Diabetes you will orchestrate and integrate all elements of a great customer experience and loyalty by building and executing the value proposition for the targeted patient customer audience from developing insights to designing the end-to-end customer experience. By establishing deep expertise in the Diabetes target patient segment, you will ensure its then integrated purposefully into the extended marketing and operations teams. You’ll have the ability to liaise confidently and communicate with key stakeholders in our product marketing/digital teams as well as across our matrix organization so you’ll need to be a self-starter who can work independently. You will also provide market analyses to maintain an appropriate level of understanding of the target audience, developing insights as well as new business opportunities that can improve marketing programs.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Establish and implement strategies and tactical plans targeted to patient customer segments
Develop and maintain patient onboarding and loyalty
Patient segmentation – work with the Marketing team to segment the existing customer base to provide tailored strategies and programs for the ANZ market
Develop and implement plans to increase market share including new product launches to new segments
Identify and collaborate with digital team on patient lead generation strategies
Liaise with international customer experience team to leverage marketing programs, content, and materials appropriate to the ANZ marketplace including regular competition updates and counter strategies

Must Haves
Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medical or relevant field
At least 5 years marketing experience ideally some in a technical health environment with patient focus
Understanding of overall marketing principals with specific focus on Buying Journeys, Customer Experience Process and Mapping and a key understanding of Direct-to-Consumer marketing principals
Awareness and knowledge of digital marketing practices
