Jean Hailes for Women’s Health (JHF) is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the knowledge of women’s health throughout the various stages of their lives, and providing a trusted world-class health service for women.
We combine research, clinical care and practical education for women and health professionals. Our key point of difference is the translation and dissemination of research and medical evidence into easy to understand health information, delivered in multiple ways, to suit our audiences.

The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for:
 Planning, developing, producing and delivering content across all Jean Hailes channels, including:
o Jean Hailes’ websites (excluding health specific resources)
o Social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
o Digital content such as podcasts, video, motion graphics.
 Supporting the Jean Hailes Public Health & Education Unit, Development Units and Clinics in the development of fact sheets, booklets, promotional material, reports or submissions as required
 Media engagement, communication planning and delivery
 Brand, visual design and organisational brand guardianship
 Ensuring the Jean Hailes ‘voice’ remains consistent internally and externally and that it adheres to strict editorial standards
 Monitoring performance against benchmarks and KPIs
 Preparation and distribution of reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Summary of position
The Digital Content Writer’s role is to develop and write digital promotional content for JHF health assets (e.g. podcasts, resources etc) across a wide variety of channels including social media, eDMs and websites. This role is a crucial part of JHF digital strategy, ensuring that our content engages our desired audiences to optimal effect.
Key job requirements, responsibilities, and ongoing performance indicators
Digital content development
 Write daily social media copy for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
 Develop digital advertising across social media channels
 Create copy decks for organisational proposals
 Write promotional copy for podcasts, webinars and other health resources
 Write short feature articles as required
 Proof digital content as required
 Contribute to content planning and delivery across all channels
 Assist in managing and contributing to JHF Image library, ensuring all visual assets are aligned with JHF brand.
Website and eDMs
 Support the content management of the JHF websites, including uploading content.
 Assist with eDM creation, proofing and database management.
 Support and assist team members and other projects as required.

Requirements of position holder
Education level
 Tertiary qualification in communications/media and/or a health-related discipline.
 3+ years’ relevant experience within digital content, marketing and/or communications field. A health background would be highly beneficial but not essential.
 Demonstrated experience in producing promotional copy for assets across a range of digital channels (e.g social media, digital advertising, eDMs, feature articles, media releases, podcasts)
 Demonstrated experience in managing online communities, social media platforms and website CMS.
 Demonstrated project coordination experience and administration experience.
 Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to manage multiple and competing demands.
 This role would suit someone wanting to build a career in content development
Organisational knowledge
 Knowledge of women’s health, health promotion principles and health behaviour.
 Previous work in the not-for-profit and / or health sector.
