What you’ll be doing

Your primary focus will be to conceptualise, design and iterate creative to improve overall design aesthetics across: assets, emails, pages and features.

Purpose

As a Marketing UI Designer at Envato you are an essential member of the UX & Design team. You’re responsible for creating visually memorable and engaging creative across any number of projects, ranging from large campaigns and digital advertising, through small banners across multiple communication channels and platforms.

Organisational structure

You report to a Lead Designer as part of the broader UX & Design team, within which you will be part of the Marketing Design team alongside other UI designers, responsible for creative across our marketing, campaign and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the conception and creation of visual styles and assets to promote our different products across multiple channels, including email, on-site campaign banners, pages, social media and paid search. You will be expected to collaborate closely with fellow designers and the Marketing and Paid Growth teams to interpret business requirements from concept to completion for on-time delivery.

Support the Marketing and Paid Growth teams with visual design support:
Conceptualise, design and iterate creative to improve overall design aesthetics across: assets, emails, pages and features.
Produce graphics, illustrations, including: typographic lock-ups, custom graphics, logos and icons.
Deliver conceptual creative at the right level of fidelity dependant upon the circumstance and feedback required.
Align with the Envato values and design against Envato’s design principles.
Communicate effectively and collaboratively with managers and designers to gather relevant feedback to ensure design is meeting the requirements as identified throughout various briefing processes.

About you

Excellent collaborator who is not afraid to give and receive feedback.
Are able to execute modern, contemporary visual design for digital platforms.
Care deeply about the fundamentals of layout, typography, colour and motion and how they combine to form an overall experience.
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and the problems being solved.
Are open about your design work, seeking feedback at every opportunity.
Are capable of creating scalable campaign creative, not just one-off concepts.
Has an interest in how design and marketing collaborate to deliver effective  campaigns.
Care about how the overall campaign creative works throughout all communication channels and platforms.
Online portfolio showcasing your creative capability across a range of digital communication channels and platforms.
Relevant degree

You will have  

3+ years experience designing across a range of digital products and channels with a portfolio showing examples of your work including:
In depth understanding of colour, layout, typography usability and accessibility.
Designing responsive layouts, with an all devices first approach.  
Basic understanding of HTML & CSS across responsive layouts that enables you to work with UX & UI Designers.
Experience creating low, medium & high fidelity prototypes.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: in particular Photoshop (with a love of pixel-perfect design), Illustrator with bonus points for Indesign.
Experience working in an Agile or Lean environment.
Confident presenting design rationale and objectives to groups and key stakeholders
