Digital Media Strategist | Planner

We are an independent customer experience agency based in Sydney looking for an experienced Digital Media Strategist/Planner to join us on a 3 month contract due to increased workload. The role is to work across leading global and local clients and is it to start within the next 1-2 weeks.

You will be required to work remotely due to the current pandemic, so self motivation and drive is essential. You will be fully supported by a strong media and strategy team.

You’ll join a creative team of fearless, hard working account handlers, strategists and creative thinkers who always strive towards excellence.

You will report to an experienced Media Director and work alongside a team of high performing planners and buyers.

The role is to:
• Be responsible for building gold class media strategies for clients in the B2B Tech, FMCG and Finance industries.
• Support the Media Director in the delivery of clients performance media strategy and work closely with client service teams to provide expertise on client media plans and rationales.
• Define the paid media channel mix for client briefs across paid social, SEM/PPC, video and display, outline goals and KPI’s for each channel
• Use data to discover insights, turn these into actionable media strategies.
• Conduct in depth research to determine targeting for each media strategy
• Present media strategies to clients to sell in media approach, using data driven rationale

You will need:
• 6+ years experience as Media Planner or Media Strategist or similar, preferably from an agency background.
• To be an experienced strategic planner within the digital media landscape with ability to see the big picture.
• To have an expert understanding of how to plan campaigns within Facebook, Instagram, SEM/PPC, Twitter and Linkedin
• Strong analytical skills, you enjoy digging into the numbers to better your plans
• Current certifications across Google, DSP’s, Bing, Facebook Blueprint and many other channel technologies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal is a must with outstanding attention to detail.
