Digital Producer

The Project has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Producer.

This role will be 4 days per week.

As Digital Producer you are responsible for maintaining the show’s digital platforms, using a consistently balanced, educated and comedic tone, monitoring digital user behaviour and liaising with both internal and external parties on digital matters. The Project has a large online following including over 1.3 million followers across Facebook and Twitter. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with equally large platforms.

As a public representative of the show’s values and ethical views, you will be expected to have an objective voice and it is imperative that you understand the show’s standards so that you can distinguish any communication that is unusual, threatening or legally precarious.

The Digital Producer will be a creative member of the team, working closely with the show’s writers, producers, editors and talent to create engaging content and strategies to promote the show via our digital platforms.

Daily Tasks
• Post/publicise show content on digital platforms (eg. Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/TEN daily)
• Create and generate companion content for the show
• Editorially select show content for digital distribution
• Work with head writer to create and implement broader digital strategy
• Post requested call outs from audience coordinator and producers
• Oversee responses to digital inquiries from audience members
• Respond to external requests
• Communicate with legal department to keep our content within legal boundaries
• Maintain strong relationships with external digital stakeholders
• Liaise with producers each day and handpick appropriate digital content
• Report back each week on our digital insights
• Maintain presence and moderate digital platforms throughout the day and during the show
• Ensure consistent voice across all digital platforms – friendly, funny, serious when necessary, informative
• Work to troubleshoot any relevant technical difficulties alongside digital platform providers and their teams
• Have a good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite – ideally Photoshop, Premiere and Lightroom.
