Digital Video Producer/Editor – 12 month Contract

NBC Universal is looking for a creative digital shooter and video editor to focus on creating digital content for E! Australia and Bravo NZ.

Based in a fantastic Sydney CBD location, this 12 month fixed contract requires a combination of producing, creative ideation/pitching of video concepts, and expert hands-on shooting and video editing – including basic After Effects graphics creation, color correcting and audio mixing.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop culture and have exceptional storytelling instincts, with the skills and ability to independently see video projects through from start to finish.

Produce, shoot and edit videos for the website and socials on a daily basis
Edit videos for both E! Australia and Bravo NZ’s digital platforms (eonline.com/au, bravotv.co.nz, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc) using original footage , sourced images and clips and social media content
Perform basic color correcting and audio mixing when necessary
Regularly pitch digital-first video ideas which may include E! and Bravo programs
Receive and implement notes on cuts from the editorial team and other project stakeholders
Provide creative input on video pitches and throughout post-production
Adhere to strict deadlines while managing multiple projects at once
Work collaboratively across multiple teams, in particular with the digital team
Deliver final video product to the required platform specifications
Lead and own video projects from start to finish

A passion for digital video content and excellent instincts for what makes videos popular in the digital and social landscape
Knowledge of and enthusiasm for pop culture
Familiarity with E! and Bravo’s brand and audience

Experience as a digital video shooter / editor / producer in an entertainment or media setting
Proficiency in video shooting, including camera / audio operation, lighting, and production management
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
Technical knowledge of post-production technologies, including ingestion / output of media, file conversions, camera formats and video codecs, media distribution and quality control
Working knowledge and understanding of footage and image copyright laws
Proven ability to pick out key moments and identify compelling narratives in raw footage
Experience working with entertainment talent
A track record of creating compelling story-driven digital video content
