Powered Studios is Nine’s in-house creative team producing bespoke, strategic solutions for clients that integrate with our brands seamlessly. The Powered Studios team collaborates with editorial brands including The Sydney Morning Herald, Good Food, The Australian Financial Review, Good Weekend, Sunday Life and nine.com.au to create market-leading content for print, digital & broadcast that delivers on clients’ objectives.
The team performs a key role in the pre and post-sale functions, including proactive go-to-market opportunities, creative and strategic input to client brief responses and the implementation and post analysis of creative campaigns. Our broad reach allows us to work with a well-rounded portfolio of clients, including Moët & Chandon, Schick, Woolworths, Sephora, Universal Sony, L’Oréal, McDonalds, Visit Victoria Tourism, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Jaguar and many more.

Job Description:
The ideal fit for this team will be someone with fresh, creative ideas and the ability to think fast on their feet. We want an out-of-the-box thinker who is constantly seeking inspiration and innovation and can use lightbulb moments to really push creative boundaries.
You will have strong studio experience gained in agency or publishing, an undeniable passion for design, well-rounded design skills/aesthetic and excellent verbal communication skills. We also enjoy working with those that are structured in their approach and remain well organised under pressure.

Responsibilities:
–The Graphic Designer will work under the day-to-day creative direction of our
Design Director
–Design advertorials, sponsored (native) content, brand ads and other print
content, along with digital executions
–Create illustrations and logos on new design projects, as required
–Responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate artwork that meets all
internal and external deadlines
–Design and produce creative solutions for a wide variety of external clients
and in-house projects from concept to completion
–Monitor and implement current industry trends in print/digital design and
seek out new design solutions with cutting-edge industry knowledge in mind

Qualifications:
–A solid understanding of the print and digital landscape, including responsive
design
–Proven experience in print design, and an understanding of the technical
constraints associated with digital marketing and websites
–Knowledge of print practices and prepress
–Conduct image searches and manage re-touching
–Awareness of design trends and capabilities within print and digital
advertising
–High creativity with a strong attention to detail
–Highly organised and an excellent multi-tasker
–Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
–Advanced proficiency with the Adobe Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop,
InDesign, After Effects a bonus)
–Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
