Head of Commercial Innovation and Clubs

Reporting to the General Manager – Commercial, you will be responsible for providing leadership across the Commercial department. Working collaboratively with the Sales leadership team, you will be accountable for the commercial delivery, activity, direction, leadership and achieving the sales results in meeting and or exceeding the KPI’s.

The role will collaborate through the AFL, Clubs, AFL Media, Corporate Partners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure that opportunities are maximized and revenue optimized while the creation and delivery of assets are effectively part of the stakeholder’s solutions.

This newly created role is critical to the growth agenda of the non-broadcast revenue department and will require a self-motivated and progressive person to lead our commercial, innovation and club’s portfolio.

• Effectively deliver on financial targets, but also independently drive larger strategic growth opportunities.
• Identification of new business opportunities – for the AFL and clubs – across a range of markets and industries.
• Plan and execute strategic business plans (including initiatives to protect, defend, grow and attain new clients to meet our financial targets).
• Plan and develop strategic, senior relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective management of direct reports with a focus on upskilling them to assist the business in achieving these targets.
• Lead and develop strategic and creative integrated solutions for the commercial department.
• Deliver accurate and timely sales reporting, pipeline and revenue forecasting.
• Contribute to the wider commercial team strategic business priorities.

• Proven ability to think strategically in the development of integrated client solutions
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
