ARN (Australian Radio Network) is one of the leading broadcasters in the country with ownership or investments in 12 radio stations nationwide. We currently have an exciting newly created role for a Head of Data and Analytics. You will be responsible for the definition and management of the overall ARN Data & Analytics strategy, including the development of Governance & Operating frameworks as well as the development of commercialisation initiatives and supporting our sales and digital teams.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Accountable for the delivery of the data and analytics strategy, including management of business intelligence projects that will integrate data into a centralised data environment
• Nurture and grow a team of data and analytics talent to embed a data driven culture within the organisation
• Institutionalise data governance that provides appropriate protections over data management and use, while developing operating frameworks to enhance data use
• Provide strategic leadership for the design, development, testing and delivery of structures, access layers, and efficient workflows
• Provide the leadership team with data based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities
• Develop data use cases to test propositions and develop new and innovative ways to drive the ARN strategy forward
• Keep up to date with new approached and trends in data platforms, analysis and data visualisation

The successful candidate will have:
• 7+ years in a data and analytics focused leadership position; preference for media experience, ideally radio and broadcast
• Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in a quantitative field eg. engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, math
• Strong leadership and C-Suite stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in building, managing business and data/technical teams
• Proven experience in developing and implementing effective data solutions in a complex and changing environment
• Knowledge with relational modelling, database applications and integrations, ETL/ELT tools, client/server solutions, and modern query languages
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and contracts that support information management to maximise long term value and ensure effective utilisation
• Ability to inspire and be an advocate for change
• Experience in the development of analytical platforms, leveraging big data technologies to analyse and manipulate large data sets from disparate data sources
• Expert technical knowledge of major data warehousing and big data solutions and products available in the market
• Proficiency with analytics, database languages and the management of data sources
