The Role

As Head of Marketing, you will lead a small team of marketing professionals and engage key stakeholders across the business to develop and manage the Trafalgar and CostSaver brands, aligning the organisations goals with the brands strategies.

Sitting within the senior management team this position plays an integral role in the business growth and development. It reports into the Managing Director and has full responsibility for the development and execution of the annual marketing plan.

Key Result Areas:

• Develop brand and marketing strategies within the Australian consumer direct and trade distribution channels.
• Regionalise core brand messages and positioning for Trafalgar and CostSaver for the Australian market.
• Manage the Australia marketing function, building and maintaining the brand work delivered from the Global Marketing and Digital teams through the production of high quality branded communications & collateral regional copywriting, development of brand assets, creative briefs and advertising campaigns.
• Develop market research projects (consumer & trade) to identify growth opportunities and understand brand issues.
• Develop and manage marketing relationships with destination partners and key retail agency accounts at a national and regional level delivering co-operative initiatives to drive growth.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Sales and global Trade Engagement Manager to develop and implement B2B loyalty initiatives, targeted communications, events and training tools for travel agents.
• Develop and implement multi-channel marketing plans and budgets for brand and related products.
• Develop and implement consumer activations, partnerships and brand ambassador relationships and initiatives.
• Direct and oversee brand and tactical campaigns across a range of integrated marketing mediums; including working with internal PR and Digital cross-brand teams to maximise outcomes for Trafalgar and CostSaver.
• Develop a consumer direct strategy using CRM principles, focusing on customer acquisition, conversion and retention whilst working with the internal Digital Agency (Digital Alliance) and Contact Centre Manager.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Marketer with a tertiary level qualification in a business-related discipline. You will have creative flare and a sophisticated style of writing as well as strong communication skills and analytical attention to detail. You will have proven people management skills to successfully lead and navigate through business change with an outstanding ability to build positive rapport with all stakeholders of the business. You will also have solid strategic brand planning and a long-term strategic vision with the ability to deliver short and medium term brand equity and market share in relevant channels.
