This is a unique opportunity to join the Insights & Optimisation Department for Australia’s most iconic building. As the Insights & Customer Engagement Analyst you would work directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, giving you exposure to the many different businesses within the Opera House – from the creative Performing Arts portfolio to the dynamic Visitor Experiences portfolio, Philanthropy and more. Throughout, you would have the mentorship of the close-knit Insights & Optimisation team and support from the broader Marketing and Technology departments.

Working hands-on across all customer data touchpoints – from customer databases, web and social analytics, contact center and on-site data – in addition to relevant external sources and research, this role requires you to synthesise the information and be an insight creator for your various stakeholders. Empowering the broader Marketing Department by democratising access to data, and developing actionable insights and is central to this role giving you the opportunity to help foster an insight led culture in a fast moving, globally-recognised business.

• 3+ years demonstrated experience in customer/marketing analytics.
• Significant experience navigating databases, spread sheets and data extracts with precision.
• Strong SQL experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau
• Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Experience using statistical tools to translate big data into meaningful insight.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify trends and opportunities and act on them.
• A curious mind with a thirst for knowledge; a quick study
• A creative mind with a love of experimentation
• Strong team player, works well in a collaborative environment.
• Capable of working autonomously; managing workload and projects.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, proactively providing advice and support.
• A history of innovation and diplomacy; questioning the status quo to successfully initiate change that is embraced by all.
• Numerically-strong with degree in economics, statistics, engineering or similar preferred (but not essential).

Salary: Base salary of $70,372 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation contributions
