Journalist

ACS is the professional association and peak body for Australia’s technology industries with more than 45,000 members working in business, education, government and the community.

We are currently looking for a Journalist to write news and features for our flagship publication Information Age (ia.acs.org.au).

With a subscriber base of 80,000, Information Age keeps technology professionals informed with happenings in their industry, locally and internationally.

Every day is different. You may find yourself writing about self-driving cars, drone regulations, jobs, start-ups, the NBN, diversity, government policy, social media, cybersecurity, blockchain or ransomware, to name a few of the topic areas we cover.

Essential requirements:
Genuine interest in technology and technology issues
A degree in journalism or communications
Outstanding spelling and grammar
Excellent presentation and communication skills

Desirable:
A thirst for performance analytics and desire to see how published stories are performing
Knowledge of content management systems
Willingness to occasionally travel (local/international)

Remuneration:
Negotiable based on experience

Suitably qualified and skilled individuals should submit a cover letter, CV and a link with examples of their work.
