Marketing Content Writer

We are looking for a creative and passionate content writer to join our rapidly growing creative content team at Pinnacle. Someone who loves to write, thrives on a challenge, has a clear voice and is passionate about storytelling and using the written word to connect with consumers. You have a strong personality, are a people person and have the ability to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and work groups. As the marketing content writer, you will be responsible for ensuring delivery of work across multiple projects – on time, to an exceptional standard and written to target specific demographics. You will be really passionate for delivering creative excellence and have an infectious ‘can-do attitude’ at all times. You will likely come from a journalistic or radio broadcasting background. If you like to make a difference and love to create work that matters and really drives change, then you will jump at this opportunity.

This is a diverse role that would suit a well-rounded writer who enjoys working across multiple projects, using their skillset in both print and digital mediums. You must deliver exceptional commentary on every project that you work on, maintaining a consistent voice at all times. The content writer will report to the Director of Marketing and will be part of the creative content team within the Pinnacle marketing team.

You will write content that is on brand and on brief across a diverse output, ranging from; thought pieces, website content, blogs, product or brand campaigns for Pinnacle or our affiliates, digital assets, event collateral and everything in between.

Our content writer will be expected to create and maintain excellent working, professional relationships within the marketing team and with key stakeholders across the business. You will lead by example, be a dedicated team player and be able to work fast and to a tight deadline. You will be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and flex to the needs of the business when changes are required. You’re highly organised, adapt easily, are highly motivated and have an excellent attention to detail.

You will have excellent communication skills, love to work collaboratively, continually pushing to share ideas and constantly input into hard working, fun, creative working groups. You like to work in a flat structure in which all team members are respected and respectful of each other and where contribution to the team is shared amid a supportive, hard working environment.

You will be expected to stay current on news and be proactive to respond to topical events/ stories.

• Unfortunately, the business will not be able to offer sponsorship, so we can only consider applicants who are eligible to work in AU or who have a valid AU work visa.
• A minimum of 4+ years’ experience.
• It would be advantageous but not essential to have a BA degree in radio broadcasting, communication or journalism.
• You will be extremely creative and will be experienced in the financial industry. You will have a thorough and extensive knowledge of current and past topics and be truly passionate about communicating Pinnacle knowledge through written content.
• A track record that demonstrates a core range of skills in writing and communicating across a broad range of financial stories and platforms; scripts, articles, website content, blogs, social media.
• Your vocabulary, grammar, spelling and punctuation will be impeccable. You will understand sentence fluency and the importance of the rhythm and flow of language.
• You will be able to adapt your style and use written words in various styles to connect with multiple audiences.
• A flexible and resilient approach to work with the ability to work under pressure and available to work as needed in a fast paced, demanding and yet rewarding environment.
• You’re incredibly motivated, resourceful, proactive and demonstrate a strong can-do attitude.
• You love to collaborate, are a great team player, but also have the ability to work independently when required.
• Passionate about finance, culture, lifestyle, design, and wanting to use business as a force for good & an appetite to change people’s lives through better financial decisions.
• Youthful in spirit, culturally-connected and worldly wise.
• Highly organised, strong attention for detail, perfectionism and a passion for writing.
