Marketing Manager

We have been a leader in presenting music in Sydney and around the world for almost 90 years. We perform and tour with some of the greatest names in symphonic music, performing the most brilliant music across classical and cross-over genres. Our 90 musicians give performances that cross genres – from the classical to working with contemporary rock and pop artists to live-to-film experiences. And because we believe in music for everyone, we work with communities and schools to get people deeply involved.

THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to promote our portfolio of special events and cross-over performances which include live-to-film events, live outdoor concerts and collaborations with the best musical talent from across musical genres and across the globe.

The role is part time – 4 days per week.

As a portfolio manager within the marketing team you will be responsible for developing creative and campaign briefs; working with our media agency and helping deliver on our higher-level customer and sponsor engagement plans. You will also work with our venue and digital channel partners to drive sales and enhance our ROI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop marketing campaigns which sit within our overall customer strategy and deliver the target sales revenue;
• Frame the customer proposition and develop creative briefs that meet positioning and branding needs;
• Develop media buying and activation plans and identifying special media opportunities, channel and organisational partnerships;
• Work with customer service, online channel, media and CRM teams to fully develop campaigns and ensure seamless mechanics;
• Collaborate with our internal teams to implement seamless campaign mechanics and fulfillment processes; and
• Assist in the development of customer insights and post-campaign analysis.

You will also be responsible for identifying increasingly competitive and creative ways to engage our supporters, promote events and drive sales.

YOU WILL NEED TO:
• Develop complete campaign briefs including target audiences, positioning, creative media and activation briefs;
• Guide the creative development process and seek approvals from partner companies, rights owners and artist agencies and promoters;
• Plan and oversee the execution across all channels including print, editorial, social and direct; and
• Production manage and be hands-on in the creation of video, photographic and graphic assets

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL HAVE:
• A proven track record creating and implementing successful promotional campaigns
• Experience in continuity marketing and the use of CRM systems
• A demonstrable track-record of meeting sales targets
• Strong experience in the development of online and digital advertising campaigns
• Strong experience in the creative use of traditional channels including print, direct mail and telemarketing
• Expertise in guiding the creative development of campaigns
• Expertise in data-driven marketing techniques
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Be able to demonstrate a balanced orientation towards customer relationships and revenue generation
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• A passion for working with people, the arts and an interest in classical and a wide range of other musical genres
• Highest possible ethical standards in all respects of your professional life
• An appropriate tertiary qualification; preferably incorporating studies in business and marketing management
