Marketing Officer

Exchange for Change is the scheme coordinator responsible for the administration and marketing for the NSW and ACT container deposit schemes, Return and Earn, and the ACT CDS.

At Exchange for Change, we are passionate about tackling the problem of drinks container litter found on our streets, beaches, parks and waterways, and we are seeking a marketing officer to join our growing team to help champion behaviour change and engagement with each scheme.

Reporting to the Executive Director Marketing Communication, you will be responsible for providing a range of high-level executive, secretariat, and project support services including strategic advice, support in the management, coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Key accountabilities
• Prepare, manage and review the provision of high-level communication and correspondence including briefings, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy, and timeliness of written information
• Act as the point of contact for the Executive Director and liaise with stakeholders, action requests to coordinate communication and proactively ensure responses meet deadlines
• Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of marketing activities and campaigns, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope
• Management and governance of the brand, ensuring all marketing materials are in line with brand guidelines
• Establish and maintain relationships with program partners, stakeholders and network of research, creative, media and content agencies through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met
• Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
• Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making

About you:
• You’re resilient and courageous, can be flexible, show initiative and respond quickly when situations change
• Have effective communication skills, ability to actively listen to others and clarify own understanding, and be able to lead and facilitate productive discussions with the project team, agencies and stakeholders
• Understand and have the ability to contribute to the development of integrated marketing strategies and plans
• Have experience in content development and management – and the ability to develop targeted messaging and adapt and reformat assets for various target channels
• Are able to take insights from how target audiences interact with our brand/s via contact and response data from activities to optimise marketing programs by driving behaviour change and customer experience
• Ability to consolidate and manage various data and analytics into a unified and centralised reporting system, drilling down to individual communication, task and interaction metrics to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Understanding of media planning process and ability to optimise campaign outcomes in line with campaign objectives
• Have a tertiary qualification in marketing/communication or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience and training.
