Media Liaison

ActewAGL have an exciting opportunity with a newly created role, Media Liaison. If you are interested in working in the media/communications field in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment, then this is the role for you!

You will provide internal communications support to the business as well as managing a 24-hour media phone and coordinating media responses.

About the role
Key responsibilities for the Media Liaison include:
Developing a media strategy to ensure sound partnerships with local and regional media outlets.
Running a 24 hour media phone and coordinating media enquiries
Creating an effective media monitoring system to ensure timely responses and reporting of media coverage and replies
Coordinating media events as required, including speaking notes, running sheet and media kits.
Providing corporate communications and public affairs representation and support, including during emergencies or crises.
Building internal communications content and designing and delivering associated materials

To succeed in this role, you will possess:
*Experience delivering and maintaining a corporate media strategy that meets business objectives
*General communications experience including advanced writing skills.
*Keen understanding of local, regional and national media operations
*Experience managing communications during crises or major issues.
Not essential but if you have, it would be outstanding:
*A degree in a related discipline or experience in a commercially focused organisation
