NSW Field Sales Manager

What does the Field Sales Manager do?

Overall management of an account base through the following;
Total management of call plan and call runs for Sydney metro and South Coast
Presentation of selected new titles through monthly and seasonal presentations
Regular reviews and development of backlist sales; this may involve core range updates, category reviews and promotional initiatives
Management of returns
Regular communication with accounts to stimulate sales
Negotiations for individual title and promotional terms in consultation with Sales Director
Negotiations for catalogues and other account driven promotional initiatives
Management of stock requirements for catalogues and account based promotions
Provision of sales figures and analysis of the business in conjunction with accounts and monthly reporting
Helping set up and management of in-store events with accounts
Participation in sales conferences, and two monthly field sales meetings

How your success will be measured:
Actual performance of Simon & Schuster business in accounts year on year
Individual titles sales vs targets
Clear understanding by product department and operations (both S&S and HEDS) of customer requirements and stock requirements
Strength of professional relationships with accounts
Demonstrated communication with management and other key stakeholders
Demonstrated conversance with individual account’s needs
Development of growth plans for all accounts under portfolio
Development of new sales channels through cold calling and seeking out contacts in your territory when new stores open
