WHO WE ARE
The Lark brand was created from humble beginnings in 2005, with products that were handmade from thrifted items. Following a move from the UK to country Victoria our founders opened the first online retail concept store of its kind in Australia 2007, inspired by the colour and quirky appeal of destination retail stores in Europe. A little shop in Daylesford opened in 2009 and quickly became a mecca for Lark lovers across Australia, cementing its cult status with features in key print and online publications around the world.
Currently based in Ballarat with a retail shop front and HQ, the Lark brand has expanded to encompass an industry-leading online party and event store and an inspired gift and homewares store. With plans in place for growth, Lark is currently renewing its focus in the celebration and special events space.
Lark is well-known for its broad and ever-changing collection of design-led party, gift and home products. Our designers range from small local makers through to iconic brands like Kate Spade New York and Rice DK. Every product is individually [and obsessively!] sourced by our creative director in a pursuit to find fresh new goodies for our customers to get excited about!
You will manage the online store and customer experience for Lark Australia, supported by our in-house Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will deliver the online strategy for the Lark brand, managing all aspects of the marketing function, as well as marketing our physical store and pop-up events. The essence of this role is to develop and execute an innovative digital marketing strategy to achieve high visibility of the Lark brand and our exciting, evolving product range, resulting in customer growth, improved conversion rates and increased sales.
You have experience managing an online retail environment and an impressive campaign management track record in digital and traditional media.
You are great at building relationships, mentoring and leading a team, have an excellent eye for detail and flair for merchandising.
You will be able to demonstrate how to launch retail products and bring innovative design-led products to market via a variety of communication methods. You live and breathe the creative and design space and this shows in your genuine enthusiasm about the Lark brand and our position in the market.
Above all else, you are creative, results-driven and a motivated team player!
In return we will offer you a family-friendly career opportunity with plenty of room for development and the opportunity to play a key role in our fast-growing business. You will be joining a small and dynamic Ballarat-based team of colleagues who are passionate about our business, brand and industry.
