PR Gun (Part-time / Freelance)

We are on the hunt!

Due to an influx of new clients in the property, NFP and SME space, we are seeking a sharp-shooting PR gun who is experienced, motivated and driven with the ability to self-manage to join the team, initially in a part-time capacity, with a view to moving into a full time role within three months. If you would prefer full-time get in touch, you never know what magic we will create for the right person!

The Role
Working closely with the Director this role will be responsible for account management of clients, PR planning and strategy, end to end campaign development, pitching and rolling out of community engagement programs and events.

More specifically this new and exciting role will involve:
– Strategic involvement on each account – you think BIG at all times and can switch between strategy and details in an instant.
– Being a gun at managing multiple clients and projects at one time as well as bringing forth creative and ‘out of the box’ yet on brand ideas
– Implementation of the strategies, crafting creative pitches and pitching into your wide range of media contacts – we want to work with someone who can spot a great ‘story’ a mile away and knows how to get shit done!
– Daily client relationship management – our clients love us and we love them! They are always our number one focus
– Getting involved with community engagement programs and events with our clients – willingness to get hands dirty is a MUST!

Who are you?
– Pitching is one of your strengths. You love the chase and securing ‘wins’ for clients and seeing the results of your efforts up in lights!
– Exceptional writing skills – in fact you love writing whether it’s developing angles and story ideas, media releases or strategies
– You’re a creative juggernaut – you THRIVE on challenges and thinking of new and innovative ways to take a client and their business to the media
– Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role but if you’re a quick learner then hey – who are we to judge!
– Strong relationship skills with media, bloggers, and influencers and an outstanding knowledge of the Australian PR and media landscape
– Clients love you – you’re warm, friendly and love talking to them about their business, organising interviews, communicating wins and updating them on where we are at within their strategy
– Collaboration is your jam – you especially love bringing a client and a brand together to make mutual media magic!
– You’re brilliant at managing your time and sticking to deadlines. We never let anyone down whether it’s a journo or a client. Their time and ours is valuable!
– Previous experience working in a PR agency role is preferred but if you don’t have it and the role tickles your fancy, say hi anyway! We are BIG on culture fit!

Location: Melbourne with remote working options
Part time / freelance, ideally commencing asap with a view to moving into full time within three months – or sooner if we keep growing as quickly as we are!
Salary: To be discussed, based on experience
