PR Senior Account Manager

We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic team player to join our Sydney office as an PR Senior Account Manager working across some of the best global and local brands. The role includes generating editorial opportunities for clients, positioning them in the thought leadership space, newsjacking to be part of the conversation and generating spokesperson opportunities for a portfolio of clients across various industries and sectors.

You will be an integral part of our talented team and responsible for leading multiple PR projects for building, lifestyle, home, health, retail business and not-for-profit clients, with creative sparkle. The role works with the Account Directors on more complex clients, and the juniors as a mentor and coach.

We are looking for a SAM who is a strategic thinker, confident communicator, takes an integrated approach to managing clients, and becomes a trusted adviser to our clients.

You will need to have proven PR agency environment experience, be well versed in the consumer and B2B PR landscapes with local media knowledge, and ideally have worked across influencer partnerships, and have a good understanding of how social media strategy integrates with PR.


Leading and managing key client accounts and teams to execute multi-channel strategic communications programs across a portfolio of clients with a commitment to ‘Excellence in Execution’
Leading, creating and implementing strategic PR and communications campaigns – traditional PR, as well as integrated campaigns across social, digital, influencers, content and partnerships and alliances
Writing and producing media releases and content across channels and platforms and utilise strong, existing media and influencer relationships
Presenting creative solutions to clients and assist in problem solving
Generating stories and newsjacking conversations to give your clients a voice, being aware of industry trends and thought leadership opportunities
Being accountable and responsible for timelines, quality of the teams’ work, reporting and results to meet and exceed client expectations
Developing and managing account budgets in line with scopes of work to ensure account profitability
Mentoring and managing junior staff and assisting in their individual professional growth
Being outcomes focussed, measuring and evaluating the success of campaigns and reporting to clients and stakeholders
Offer crisis management and counsel to clients
Proactively seek new opportunities for the business, relevant to the agency’s areas of expertise
Work with the NMG team to develop proposals and presentations to acquire new clients and revenue opportunities
Provide support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline


• A genuine passion for PR and story telling
• Currently work in a leadership role in a PR agency environment
• Excellent knowledge of the Australian PR landscape is required
• Have 5+ years PR experience and a proven track record in successfully managing multiple PR campaigns simultaneously
• High attention to detail
• Exceptional communicator (oral and written) and a confident presenter
• Demonstrate understanding and expertise in social/digital media, including community management
• Proactively contributes content and suggestions for the agency’s online/social media identity, presence and profile including blog
• Proactively seeks to learn and understand social, digital and new technologies to maximize opportunities

• Rigorous, detail-oriented and highly-organised approach to managing work and deadlines
• Proactive self-starter while also being a team player
• Strong industry network and contacts and proven experience in working successfully on media and influencer outreach campaigns
• Ability to adapt and deliver in a changing and evolving media and business landscape
