PRODUCTION MANAGER, POST-PRODUCTION

Our client is a leading sound facility, with a permanent opportunity for a Production Manager to support the company Directors. The role requires a planning ninja who can take the reins to proactively plan and manage resources, schedules & workflows, allowing management to concentrate on the creative oversight of projects and future business.
We need someone who can shift mindsets between big picture planning and still be able to deal with detail to deliver solutions. You will need to be highly organised as the nature of the business can be chaotic at times and it will be your hands-on logical approach to set the direction and tone for the team on a daily basis. You will be an expert juggler to navigate any clashing priorities by reassigning tasks & resources when required.
You will also take charge of immersive and short form producing work, including quoting and booking and resourcing. Additionally you will keep the financial areas of company up to date and work with the bookkeeper to ensure timely invoicing.
Key accountabilities: Quoting/Booking/Planning/Scheduling
Scheduling – Working with supervisors to set schedules/ milestones/ tasks for each project to help keep team on time and budget
Planning – Big picture advanced planning (3-6 months) with the ability to drill down and effectively map out the team’s daily / weekly/monthly tasks
Work with management to quote jobs and ensure quotes are turned around in a timely manner.
Input client bookings, allocate resources, invoicing
Short form producing – work client to work out budget, schedules and delivery and allocate resources. This works includes Trailers, External ADR, Promos, TVCs etc
Book talent and freelancers and oversee delivery
What you’ll need to succeed:
Experience working in a facility, agency or similar environment with project management skills
A demonstrated ability for planning across multiple projects
A hands-on approach to creating & managing schedules effectively to navigate clashing priorities
You’ll be highly organised with proven time management skills
An excellent understanding of priority management, with a flexible nature to manage unforeseen events both internally and externally
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of scheduling / business management systems such as Merlin and Daylite
Ability to quote smaller projects and assist directors on quoting large complex jobs
Update and manage job reports and administer info to finance
