Reports to: Professional Development Manager

Start date: October / November 2021
Job Type: Permanent Part-Time, 4 days per week
Salary: $80k FTE incl. super (4 days per week)

The Advertising Council (ACA) is looking for a Project Manager to help with the coordination of the professional development programmes powered by ACA.

ACA is the peak professional non-profit industry body representing companies in the Australian advertising industry. It is committed to raising the professional standards of Australia’s commercial creativity industry. The ACA Professional Development (PD) portfolio offers residential, online and classroom training opportunities through its IPA, AdSchool and AWARD brands.

The Project Manager is part of the team that delivers professional support across our programmes.

This role involves regular interaction with member agencies, participants and potential participants, requiring a high level of professionalism and excellent communications skills.

Note: this role includes some attendance of events/courses after hours. Dates will be provided well in advance.

Role Objective:
To support the Professional Development Manager (PDM) in the delivery of world-class training programmes that champion commercial creativity and raise the professional standards of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide general support (project and administration) to the Professional Development Manager in the execution of programmes (AWARD, AdSchool, IPA)
– Maintain daily/weekly “Work in Progress” reports and assist in trafficking jobs
– End-to-end management of submission / judging platform (Award Force)
– Coordinate and maintain training management software (Arlo) including basic financials
– Database management
– Coordinate and maintain website updates / content and social media marketing / communications as required
– Promote and sell programmes to existing and prospective customers

Required Skills & Experience:
– Minimum 5 years of experience working in an administration/events role
– Strong attention to detail
– Strong customer service focus
– Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to deadlines
– Initiative and problem-solving abilities
– Able to work without supervision but also a great team player
– Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when required (Lectures / Grad Nights / Judging / etc. – occasional circumstances)

Desired Experience (but not essential):
– Advertising / Industry Body / Training employment experience
– Digital marketing / social media experience
– Knowledge and experience in using Google Drive
