Public Relations and Engagement Manager

We are looking for a highly-motivated PR and Engagement Manager to take on the rewarding challenge of growing our brand and engagement in Australia, building new relationships and engaging Australians in new ways with our poverty-fighting work.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Brand and Engagement, this is a rare opportunity to bring your imagination and senior PR, media and marketing skills to work, while helping to support some of the world’s most vulnerable families.

In this role you will:
• develop and deliver strategic campaigns and communications that will grow CARE Australia’s profile;
• oversee all relationships with the Australian media, proactively seeking new opportunities to profile our poverty-fighting work and those we seek to help overseas;
• identify and establish strategic brand partnerships that help us reach target audiences;
• build a strong and high-performing PR and Engagement team and play a key public-facing role to identify, pitch and secure new opportunities for CARE Australia to grow our profile.

To be successful in this role you must have:
• at least 10 years’ experience in public relations, media and promotions;
• exceptional public relations and strategic communications skills;
• extensive experience in designing and managing complex PR campaigns to increase audience engagement;
• exceptional networking and partnership-building skills and a ‘black book’ of amazing contacts within the Australian media industry.
