Publishing (Digital & Magazines) Media Sales – Strategic Sales Role

This leading Publishing media group are looking for a proven media sales expert who can handle a job that involves a blend of business development and account management.

This role is very much a strategic sales role, working on ideas and solutions that are likely to be outside the day to day campaigns that run.

You will need to be able to think laterally and creatively. An ability to come up with tailored solutions that will generate incremental revenue is essential.

This role suits someone who has a pedigree of working with both senior direct clients and also powerful media planning and buying agencies.

You will need to get sufficiently upstream to be able to genuinely affect buying decisions and client/agency commitment to big ideas.

The print and digital brands you will be working on are primarily within the Home & Lifestyle categories, so an interest in those areas will clearly be an advantage, although not necessarily essential from day one.

This role is more strategic then most of the roles in their sales department and as such, they are consciously looking for someone with significant agency sales experience as well as client sales expertise.

The kind of solutions and campaigns you will work on are by definition going to be creative and wide-ranging, with the capacity to secure incremental revenue from different revenue streams, not just the conventional allocated media spend.

The salary package has some flexibility – as does the job title/seniority level – but will be circa $95-120k salary + super + commission.
