Research Executive – quant focus

The role sits within the Audience Insights team in the Publishing division of Nine. Nine Publishing is responsible for the metro mastheads (SMH, The Age, The Australian Financial Review, Brisbane Times and WA Today) websites, apps and newspapers; the life media portfolio such as Traveller and Good Food; and the nine.com.au and 9NOW video streaming products.

The Research Executive takes ownership of key quantitative research operational tasks and supports our end-to-end quantitative research projects.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to;

· Support the Senior Research Executive and Research Manager on technical research tasks including survey scripting, fieldwork management, data processing, basic dashboard design, updates and maintenance and QC procedures – taking ownership and responsibility for key operational activities in this area
· Assist in managing and conducting research studies using our reader panels ensuring high levels of engagement and a positive experience for panellists
· Support analysis and reporting and develop skills and understanding in end-to-end research project design, management and delivery across our quantitative studies
· Assist with all aspects of our in-house qualitative research including the recruitment of participants, organising and administering incentives, venue set up/booking and providing assistance during the sessions, as required
· Participate in qualitative and UX testing projects including viewing sessions and note taking, contributing to synthesis and analysis workshops

As our preferred candidate, you will possess;

· Tertiary qualification in a related discipline e.g. psychology, marketing, economics, business, sociology or data science
· Strong numeracy skills, analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail
· Proficient PC skills especially MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
– Genuine interest in, and demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of research – survey programming, data processing, dashboarding, data analysis
– Minimum one to two years experience and proven capability in survey scripting, data analysis and charting
