Mumbrella, Australia’s biggest media and marketing publisher, is on the lookout for a highly motivated person to fill the role of Researcher – Mumbrella Pro. Mumbrella Pro is a comprehensive media and marketing industry directory and is also home to a range of content drawn from Mumbrella’s collection of leading industry conferences. 

With over 2,700 listings and more entered every day, Mumbrella Pro is a substantial product offering that requires significant care and attention to ensure users are provided with the best experience possible. 

This role is a fantastic opportunity to start your career at one of Australia’s leading independent publishers. A multi-award winning business, Mumbrella not only publishes Mumbrella.com.au but hosts industry leading events including the biggest media and marketing event in Australia, Mumbrella360. 

Mumbrella Pro is its subscription product which originally began as Mumbrella The Source. 

As Researcher – Mumbrella Pro, you’ll work closely with a small team and report into the Head of Paid Content. The role will operate in close proximity to highly skilled marketing, sales and event teams as well and will have direct contact with the industry leading editorial team. 

The Researcher – Mumbrella Pro will be responsible for editing the Mumbrella Pro database and ensuring the accuracy and currency of all the entries so that it meets and exceeds the expectations of its paying subscriber audience.

You will quickly get a detailed understanding of the media and marketing industry in Australia from the publishing scene to advertising agencies, brand marketers to leading executives and much more. 

The role includes a high volume of research, data entry and fact-finding phone calls and emails and also includes a bit of customer support. 

Full training will be provided in the systems used (namely WordPress and Chargify) as well as in the mechanics of the industry itself.

The role is ideal for a recent graduate. 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Researching company information (online and over the phone)
  • Analysing news stories to ensure relevant updates are picked up
  • Data entry, fact checking and corrections 
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy at speed 
  • Handling customer queries and billing issues
