Retail Reporter

The Sydney Morning Herald is looking for a talented, self-starting retail reporter.

Few sectors of the economy face the change and challenges confronting the nation’s retailers.

If you’re itching to tell the stories that explain and examine those issues for investors, customers and the companies themselves then this is the job for you.

Already with a deep knowledge and contact book in the sector you know what makes the big names tick and are across the major trends. Household names to the up and comers, supermarkets and hardware to furniture and fashion you know how to spot a story and how to best tell it to make an impact.

Reporting to the business editor you will be a team player who is comfortable working in a rolling online deadline environment. Attention to detail and sharp questioning eye are going to be key to your success in this job.

In return, we offer the chance for you to work with a talented team, in a dynamic working environment where you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and your career with an industry leader.

We embrace all aspects of diversity & inclusion and are committed to creating a workplace which reflects the incredibly diverse customers, audiences and communities we serve.

Disclaimer: We do not accept unsolicited agency resumes and are not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
