OMD Digital is OMD’s specialised digital division which encompasses search and is responsible for the total campaign management of all digital and search campaigns. This includes: research, strategy, trading, implementation and optimisation.
As Search Assistant you will play a critical role in attaining this ambition across all of OMD’s search clients. You will be involved in creating market leading search strategies for our clients.
The Search Assistant has accountability for all campaign executions that they are responsible for.
It is essential for the role to liaise with all internal departments to understand the overall vision of the campaign and manage assigned tasks effectively.
The Search Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all search tasks are executed on time and of a high quality, including campaign/keyword research and development, set-up, management and reporting. This position’s primary focus is on data collection and execution.
The main tasks of this role are:
-To work closely with the Search Manager and Search Account Director, as applicable, to ensure a complete understanding of the client’s goals and effectively manage search campaigns to meet the goals.
-To execute day-to-day campaign implementations and optimisations, and assist with strategy where necessary.
-To help develop and maintain client, partner and internal agency relationships across specified accounts.
1) Account Management
-Work with the Search Manager and Search Account Director to ensure the client satisfaction of Melbourne Search clients.
-Excel in verbal and written skills with excellent attention to detail in all correspondence.
-Attend relevant client meetings.
-Build effective working relationships with other agency personnel.
-Develop relationships with Digital, Word, Direct, Fuse and other SBU’s and forge a collaborative approach.
-Build relationships with engines and technology partners.
-Participate in regular Search Team meetings as well as other relevant internal WIPs.
-Understand the clients: goals and success metrics, other marketing, seasonality, USP’s, competitors and product set.
-Understand and be proficient in using all relevant technologies whether search specific or not.
-Demonstrate an appropriate level of technical competence and ability, as it pertains to the key areas of the role.
-Utilise available tracking and reporting tools to report on pre-agreed business metrics
-Coordinate with team members to develop campaign plans and strategies.
-Monitor Search budgets as directed and alert team of any significant fluctuations in spend and/or performance.
-Research, develop, and monitor keyword lists to support campaign optimisations, new products, site changes and promotional initiatives.
-Write client ad creative messaging.
-Execute paid listing submissions through campaign management tools.
-Assess and suggest appropriate landing pages.
-Monitor client, competitor and industry changes and proactively communicate findings to team.
-Support ad-hoc data requests for forecasting, billing, promotional performance, etc.
-Help to promote an integrated approach by working closely with other departments within the organization.
-May be requested to assist with competitive research and forecasting budgets for new business pitches.
-Perform various other duties as assigned.
