Senior Designer – Digital (Part-time agency role)

Green Hat creates a variety of media, giving our clients the ability to achieve their full B2B brand potential. From designing innovative and integrated digital campaigns to building best-practice websites, we have ambition and a desire to strengthen client’s brands. We are looking to welcome a creative and talented Senior Designer – Digital into the creative team to help design new and innovative media experiences, and really push thinking in original and unexpected ways.

Main Responsibilities

– Understand and embrace technology to guide the design of future B2B experiences across digital campaigns, web design and educational/explainer motion graphics
– Be the voice of UI in project teams, explaining your design rationale to developers, editorial staff and product managers
– Help organise user research and proactively try out ideas and designs to ensure we’re meeting real user needs
– Collaborate with other members of Green Hat to get to the heart of what our clients need – creating sketches, concepts, user journeys, storyboards, wireframes and navigational prototypes
– Instigate projects and prioritise your own workload
– Inspire and encourage colleagues to create coherent user experiences across different platforms and technologies

You like a design challenge

– You have a strong design aesthetic with quality output ­– and absolute care and attention to detail.
– Your portfolio’s full of great digital design across different screens, be they mobile, connected TV, tablet or desktop. You’re now ready for the next step in your career and to apply your experience and expertise in new and innovative ways.
– You can craft engaging designs. You approach design conceptually and think about the whole experience across digital media.
– You care as much about user research as you do about the user experience and will help run research sessions throughout a project.
– Keen to see your work come alive, you enjoy collaborating with content writers, marketing and strategy specialists, brand managers and digital gurus.
– You lean towards wireframes, user flows, personas, layout, colour and typography.
– You’re enthusiastic, curious and full of ideas.
– You keep up to speed with the latest design trends, user testing mechanisms and technology developments.
– You generate creative flair while adhering to established branding identity systems
– You’re constantly fascinated by what people really need, and how we can create the right experience to give it to them.
