Senior Product Manager

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis with base at our Port Melbourne/Abbotsford office or Ballarat and hybrid working available.

In this role you will lead your category and an Assistant Product Manager in the development and delivery of the Product category plans by engaging cross functionally, managing resources and timelines and through flawless follow-through.

A day in the life…
– Lead the development of the product business strategy and establish tactical plans for its delivery
– Identify opportunities in relevant market segments, lead market research and work with R&D to establish new product development pipeline
– Develop sales forecasts and manage go to market plans including launch communication & material
– Conduct post launch reviews along the Stage & Gate process
– Develop refresh or relauch strategies and execution plans for legacy products
– Monitor performance of products incl. complaints and recommend appropriate corrective action
– Keep and eye on the competition and intelligence and share intelligence
– Implement regulatory compliant product solutions (National Packaging Covenant, trademarks and patents)
– Prepare pricing recommendations for new products or changes for existing products
– Act as Product Owner and negotiate business outcomes and provide internal support to capitalise on market/customer opportunities
– Engage in business initiatives to ensure product representation and involvement
– Be a SME for Training on own Product Portfolio

You can fill these boots with….
– Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Business)
– Experience in benchmarking, research, new product management, pricing and profitability analysis.
– Strong project management know-how
– Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, technical and operations.
– Ability to prioritise, manage and ensure delivery of a range of projects, work to deadlines and honour commitments
– Strong relational intelligence and recognised capability of building meaningful relationships with diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
– Preference to work collaboratively with a all-hands on deck attitude and appreciation of a positive work environment that is aligned with the Haymes High Five values.

Your extra primer could be:
– Post-graduate qualifications an advantage
– Background or exposure to Bulky Goods retailing or paint / surface coatings industry
