Senior Sales Executive

Our client is a listed diversified media content and technology business – named in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50. The business delivers world-class content and targeted advertising to captive unique audiences via large digital screens and mobile devices.

Following significant growth, the company has recently announced an acquisition which positions the business at the epicentre of the digital media advertising space across a range of market verticals.

The recent growth has seen new Sales Manager positions created to target Media agencies and National advertisers.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s platforms, content and audiences
• Use your Media experience to identify market and client opportunities to achieve sales targets
• Effectively develop tailored solutions/proposals, negotiate and close
• Ensure a realistic pipeline of opportunities exist to achieve sales goals
• Use your existing network of agency and client contacts to develop credible relationships
• Work effectively with internal team members to collaborate on team objectives
• Work closely with the Head of National Sales and Commercial Director to ensure your efforts are consistent with the sales strategy and company objectives
• Have a high level of resilience, courage, integrity, collaboration, planning, client service ethic
• Work effectively with sales tools, processes, systems and reporting
Required skills, experience and knowledge:
• Minimum 5+ years Media sales experience – dealing with both agencies and clients.
• Track record of meeting sales targets and proactively driving new business.
• Background in identifying market opportunities, developing client solutions and closing for success.
• High degree of drive, integrity, commitment, courage and resilience.
• Sophisticated communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the media industry, preferably from a content led sales environment in digital and / or OOH.
• Knowledge of how media agencies work, ideally with an established network of relationships. The ability to quickly gain credibility and create new relationships.
• Knowledge of major advertisers and their communication challenges
