SEO Coordinator

Switched On is hiring an SEO Coordinator. This is an incredible opportunity to get your foot in the door to one of Sydney’s most progressive marketing agencies.

As an SEO Coordinator, you will spend your days analysing data and optimising websites. Your analyses and recommendations will assist in driving exposure to some of the biggest brands in Australia.

The role requires little to no experience in SEO, however, you must have at least one of the following:

You’ve run your own website or business.
You have a degree in technology, computer science, media, marketing or advertising.
You’ve read at least 3 books on the topic of technology, media or marketing.

The successful candidate will be proven to be a self-starter, able to learn and progress quickly and be able to ‘get shit done’ with a positive attitude. You should show a passion for, and be engaged with the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Key Requirements

0-2 years of digital marketing or SEO experience
A willingness to learn, strong problem-solving skills, logical
A basic understanding of how websites, the internet and search engines work
A background/degree in technology, advertising or media
A basic understanding of Google Analytics and digital marketing metrics, such as: sessions; conversions; conversion rate; impressions; clicks; CPC; bounce rate
A basic understanding of pay-per-click and search engine marketing (Google Ads/paid search)
Strong communication skills (verbal/written/presentations)
Experience using spreadsheets/word-processing/presentation programs, such as Microsoft Office or Google Docs
Analytical mind and strong attention to detail
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with SEO software a plus (eg. Moz, ahrefs, Screaming Frog etc)
A passion for SEO and digital marketing

Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with members of the owned media team, to assist clients in meeting their business objectives
Day-to-day tasks will include keyword research, SEO and website audits, and recommendations to improve on-site and off-site content
Conduct competitor audits to improve the SEO position of our clients
Assist the CRO and content teams where and when required
Assist the data team with the creation of SEO reports, analysis of data, and generation of strategic insights
Establish strong relationships with other team members, such as account managers and executives
Work closely with the other team members to meet client goals
Support the owned media team with the sales process, onboarding new clients, including participating in meetings with prospective clients, and supporting proposals and pitches
Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels
Keep up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and share your own knowledge with the team and clients
