The role

Independent paid, owned and earned agency Poem is coming up to its 4th birthday and has an envious client line-up with a superb reputation for growth, working collaboratively with some of the best creative agencies and partners, while also managing to disrupt the whole traditional PR agency model. With a clear vision and strong foundations, now is an exciting time to help build the agency offering, amplify your career and potentially gain an improved profile in the industry within a strong collaborative and supportive culture.

We’re looking for someone who combines social media expertise with senior client counsel. We want someone who is passionate about working on some of the biggest global brands as well as interesting start-ups. Someone who wants a better career path that will see them rewarded from any agency success, is interested in working more closely with the agency senior leads, while also having more autonomy in their role than the old school bigger agencies. This is an opportunity to fast-track the next stage of your career.

Working closely with the senior agency team, the Social Media and Content Amplification Director​ role ​responsibilities include:

● Key social media strategy lead on accounts, with support from the SAM/AD on a day-to-day account management basis
● Leading social media strategy and paid media content amplification for clients and new business pitches
● Management of the team on day-to-day execution and delivery, paid, content, operations and data/reporting
● Supporting the management of content production schedules with the GAD and ECD
● Pushing to grow existing social media business
● Helping ensure internal resources and processes are the level needed to execute to an award-winning level
● Imparting best-practice across social media within the organisation
● Contributing to through-the-line ideation for retainer and project activities
● Participate in relevant hiring, assessment and career development activities
● Work with senior management team on monitoring and maximising productivity, recoverability and individual, team and financial performance
● Be open to writing opinion pieces and attending industry conferences on panels
alongside senior management team members
● Promote the company’s ‘Be More Human’ vision and exemplify the company’s values in day-to-day behaviour

We’d like you to have the following attributes:
● A minimum of 5-6 years’ agency experience
● Confident with senior execs and account leadership over email, on the phone and in presentations
● Have proven expertise in the strategy development and execution of successful content marketing
● You will pride yourself on always being up to date with latest thinking and trends in this fast-moving space.
● Nurturing reputation and positive team management style to help develop the wider team to move beyond good work to great work
● You will be innovative, be able to act quickly and decisively, prepared to take risks, curious and sees things through to the end
● Strong ability to work collaboratively across different disciplines internally and across inter-agency relationships
