Strategic Planner

Role Overview:
The Strategic Planner is responsible for the effective running of Key Accounts, managing team members in all aspects of client service, strategy, implementation, and reporting. Reporting to the Agency Partners this role provides diversification across advertiser categories and a great deal of autonomy.

Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of different client organisations are critical elements to deliver success in this role. The Strategic Planner is a diligent, highly organized, and experienced individual that can think independently, juggle tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver superior client service.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Understand client’s strategic challenges and work with the broader team to develop insightful paid media solutions
• Work with Data Analysts to identify opportunities, measure, and test campaign activity
• Deliver effective workflow across the business to meet deadlines, manage workloads and ensure appropriate skill levels are engaged to deliver strong campaign outcomes across all aspects of implementation, optimisation and reporting
• Attend client WIP meetings and develop a working relationship with client contacts
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment for the team.
• Develop and maintain understanding of the media marketplace, build a network and constantly uncover new client opportunities
Systems:
• Knowledge of syndicated tools, media, search and performance marketing systems is beneficial:
o Google Analytics, Adwords and all Google tools inc SA360, DV360
o Facebook Business Manager
o Datorama
o Roy Morgan etc

Financial:
• Ultimate responsibility for all necessary paperwork (IO’s, signed media plans etc.) across client campaigns
• Responsible for ensuring that invoices go out on time accurately with pro-formas checked and that accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring that all campaign budget forms are completed with all the appropriate documentation.
You will need:
• Minimum 6-7 years experience working in a media agency background
• Tertiary level education in a related field – Marketing, Psychology or Business
• Demonstrated capabilities in stakeholder engagement and client service
• Ideally an agency background with a desire to develop insight-driven strategic direction
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic recommendations and drive high levels of client satisfaction
• Natural problem solver, plus adaptable and collaborative in your working style
