ARN (Australian Radio Network) is one of the leading broadcasters in the country with ownership or investments in 12 radio stations nationwide. Our brands include KIIS and Pure Gold, along with iHeartRadio and The Edge.

Canberra FM is a joint venture between the Australian Radio Network and Southern Cross Austereo, home of Canberra’s Hit Music Station Hit!104.7 and Canberra’s Greatest Hits Mix106.3!

We currently have an exciting role available for a Technology Manager to join our Canberra Technology Team. The role requires a proactive and service focused individual.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Plans and directs the Technology activities of the team to ensure that broadcasting and technical standards of quality and performance are maintained at all times
• Technical and building facilities comply with statutory guidelines and Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) standards and policies
• Identify and develop solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiencies
• Ensure effective functioning and maintenance of Broadcasting and Technical Studio Equipment
• Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of ARN’s radio transmitter sites and transmission signals
• Work with IT on the running of IT Facilities and Office Equipment
• Oversee building security and safety
• Manage a small team
• Manage budgets and work with other managers on the management of the station

The successful candidate will have;
• Qualifications in Electronics or Engineering
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• A passion for Broadcast, Audio and Computer Technology
• Well-developed problem solving, organisational, communication and management skills
• An understanding of transmitter sites
• Advanced skills in budget management and project management
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, interact with all personality types, and occasionally work different hours
• Superior time and project management skills
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
