Video Content Producer

This is your opportunity to work for one of Australia’s major music organisations.

We have been a leader in presenting music in Sydney and around the world for almost 90 years. We perform and tour with some of the greatest names in symphonic music, performing the most brilliant music across classical and cross-over genres. Our 90 musicians give performances that cross genres – from the classical to working with contemporary rock and pop artists to live-to-film experiences. And because we believe in music for everyone, we work with communities and schools to get people deeply involved.

We’re looking for a Video Content Producer to create video assets for our digital channels. You’ll be working as part of our Marketing team, so you will be able to contribute to the planning of our creative campaigns and focus on delivering engaging content (to a brief that you’ve help create) and delivered a high-quality asset from end to end.

• Contribute and respond to creative briefs for promotional campaigns and rich customer engagement;
• Create the video piece – whether it’s a long-form interview or deep-dive piece, a TVC, content snippet or a VOX pop – you’ll have a mastery of styles;
• Work with orchestra members and guest musicians to get the best out of their contribution to camera;
• Take care of pre-production planning, budgeting and permissions and clearances;
• Be the lighting videographer and sound capture specialist for every piece;
• Take the piece through the post-production process and the formatting required for website and social channels; and
• Keep our content on brand and on brief.

You will also be responsible for working with our online channel team in creating pieces that fit the channel and maximise engagement.

• Get to know our organisation’s people, assets and our music;
• Understand our many and broad audiences and how to engage them with our brand;
• Work to tight deadlines and think and produce pieces at speed;
• Integrate motion graphics into pieces or produce purely graphic pieces;
• Arrange stills photography (or do this yourself if you’re multi-talented);

• Superb videography, lighting and editing skills;
• Demonstrable skills in the use of production software: Adobe Suite; Premiere Pro; Final Cut Pro; Photoshop and After Effects;
• A 3 to 5-year history of conceptualising and creating engaging content and seeing it through to completion;
• Genuine creative imagination and a creative flexibility in order to offer a range of solutions and see opportunities;
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills;
• A strong commitment to self-starting and self-management; and
• Skills in budgeting and project planning skills.
