WANTED: Media hound to join our expanding agency

● Love PR but not timesheets?
● Would you rather spend your time on landing amazing media coverage, instead of endless WIP meetings?
● And want to be a part of a senior team to grow your skill set and media contacts?

Read on.

We are looking for someone who combines media expertise with superior client management skills. Someone who knows the media landscape inside-out, and isn’t afraid to sniff out the areas that they don’t. The person we are looking for still gets a kick out of landing coverage – big and small – and is proactive in seeking creative ways to get cut through with leading journalists in a competitive landscape.

While a strength in publicist is an absolute must, we are also looking for someone who can love our clients as much as we do. At Pure Public Relations we are about open and honest communication. We only work with clients we admire and are proud of the long-standing relationships we have established.

This account manager will ideally have had years of experience in reporting and client-facing comms, nurturing clients, and considering the success of our clients as the ultimate win. They will be hungry for outcomes that make a difference to our clients, and be prepared to persevere, be agile, move quickly to seize opportunities, and be creative to ensure expectations are exceeded every month.

At Pure Public Relations, we guarantee results. Our clients have been hand-selected on the basis that we see potential and growth in their business, and we work together with them to increase awareness and strengthen their reputation and credibility. As a PR consultant at Pure Public Relations, you will be able to work alongside each unique client to understand the needs of their business, and to offer confident, realistic advice.

As a new member of the Pure Public Relations team, you will gain expert experience across a variety of clients across a broad range of sectors, with the ability to switch between B2C and B2B communications at the drop of a hat.

We are ideally looking for someone who is as committed to the community as our company is and gets a thrill out of working in the not-for-profit and charity space. You should also be determined to help challenger brands, SMEs and industry bodies grow. Clients that are not immediately newsworthy should be an exciting challenge to you and an opportunity to be creative, newsjack, and look for solutions instead of problems.

If that doesn’t sound exciting enough, you will also get to work alongside a team of talented, driven, thoughtful, and good-humoured PR professionals, each with a minimum of 10 years experience.

You will be treated to a flexible, fully remote working environment as well as an allowance towards media hospitality and your own WFH setup.

And timesheets? Pure Public Relations works on a guaranteed results-based model and doesn’t use a traditional timesheet system like many PR agencies. “Time-sheet based agencies aren’t incentivised to offer flexible or fewer hours to their employees, because fewer hours equals fewer dollars in their pocket,” said Netto. “But with a results-based system, we’re able to charge our clients for tangible results, rather than how many hours we spent on WIPs about WIPs and endless Zoom calls.”
