Leo Burnett Melbourne wins Warrnambool Cheese and Butter

Leo Burnett Melbourne has won the strategy and creative business for Warrnambool Cheese and Butter after a competitive pitch. The account was previously held by an unnamed design agency.

The news comes a week after the appointment of Richard Lange from Dairy Australia as Warrnambool Cheese and Butter’s marketing director.

“This is an important time for our company,” said David Lord, WCB’s chief executive. “We have big ambitions to grow our own consumer product business over the next five years, and see opportunity in a number of dairy segments. Leo Burnett brings a wealth of strategic experience and creative firepower, which is what we need to help us realize that vision.”

Leo Burnett’s Melbourne CEO, Melinda Geertz added: “This is a wonderful
opportunity for us as an agency. WCB is at a real turning point, and their ambition is contagious. The Warrnambool brand has so much untapped potential.”
