Long-standing WS FM producer Laura Bouchet to join Triple M

The long-standing executive producer of ARN’s WS FM breakfast with Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller, Laura Bouchet, is heading to Triple M Sydney breakfast.

Bouchet has spent almost 12 years with ARN, as executive producer for Jones and Keller, which is one of the leading breakfast shows in Sydney. More recently she was promoted to WS FM assistant content director.

Bouchet: Headed to Triple M

In her new role, Bouchet will lead Triple M Sydney’s new breakfast show, Moonman in the Morning. Triple M announced the new program, which will be run by comedian Lawrence Mooney alongside Gus Worland, Chris ‘Pagey’ Page and Jess Eva, in December last year.

Over the past year, Bouchet and the WS FM breakfast team have delivered some of the highest results for the show. In survey five of 2018, the team dethroned Kiis FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson from the FM breakfast ratings crown, with a 10.3% share. Both stations are owned by ARN, however it was the first loss for Sandilands and Henderson in three years.

In the last radio ratings survey for 2018, Triple M – which ran its show with Matty Johns, Chris Page, Emma Freedman and Gus Worland – attracted 6.2% of the Sydney breakfast audience, well behind FM rivals Kiis’ Sandilands and Henderson’s 10.5%, WS FM’s Keller and Jones, which had a 9.0% share, and Nova’s Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli’s 8.4%.

Triple M’s head of content, Mike Fitzpatrick, said he was thrilled to secure one of Australia’s best and most experienced producers.

“Laura has a fantastic radio brain and is well respected in the industry. I can’t think of a better person to help build and drive our new show. It’s quite different from our breakfast show of the last eight years and Laura has exactly what Lawrence, Jess and Gus need to steer them to success,” Fitzpatrick said.

An ARN spokesperson thanked Bouchet for her work and wished her the best.

“ARN and WS FM today announce that Laura Bouchet, executive producer for WS FM’s Jonesy and Amanda has recently resigned to take on another executive producer role,” the spokesperson said.

A replacement has not been announced for Bouchet, who will commence her new role in March.

Her departure from ARN follows the exit of Kiis FM executive producer and husband, Bruno Bouchet, last year.
