A Mamamia spokesperson told Mumbrella that Corbett had helped “lift our trailblazing audio network to even greater heights”.

Corbett, Mamamia said, will still be involved in various projects, including hosting Mamamia’s dating podcast, Eligible, and occasionally filling in for regular hosts on its flagship podcast, Mamamia Out Loud.

Her full-time replacement, Northeast, has worked in television and radio production, producing content for ABC 744 local radio, Hamish and Andy’s Perfect Holiday, Triple M’s Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire, Wil Anderson and Luke Darcy, and Fox FM Breakfast with Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola, Dave Thornton and Byron Cooke.

The content network noted it had an “ambitious 2020 agenda of growth in excellent audio content for women”.

Corbett said she was moving on to new adventures, and noted her achievements throughout her time with the company.

“In the time I’ve been there I’ve had the privilege of growing the network from 15 shows to over 35 shows, the team from two to nine producers, and the audience to over a million unique listeners a month and over 90m downloads, which is more than quadruple where it was when I started,” she said on Instagram.

“On top of that, I’ve been lucky enough to look after so many amazingly talented young producers who’ve let me be their pod mum… and who’ve given me some of the most fulfilling, joyous moments of my professional career.”
