Manhunt premiers to 593,000, but fails to topple Nine’s Travel Guides

The gritty UK crime drama Manhunt premiered last night for Seven with 593,000 metro viewers, but it failed to top Nine’s Travel Guides which airs in the same slot and saw 768,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Married At First Sight predictably took the top spot with 1.306m metro viewers, according to OzTAM’s preliminary overnight metro ratings.

The Project was Ten’s highest-watched program of the night at 449,000 metro viewers for the second half hour. Ambulance Australia secured 405,000 metro viewers, its biggest audience to date, but not enough to beat the ABC’s 7.30 which had 564,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules had 746,000 viewers.

Seven again won the news battle with 919,000 metro viewers which expanded to 1.424m when combined with regional figures. Nine scraped in behind with 892,000 metro viewers and a combined figure of 1.188m.

Married At First Sight continues to provide Nine with the edge in channel share. The channel secured 27.7%, Seven came in with 20.7% and the ABC narrowly edged out Ten at 11.5% to 9.3%.

On a network level, Nine continued to dominate at 35.6%. The Seven Network jumped to 28.2% and the ABC rounded out at 16.0%. Ten’s final figure sat at 13.6%.

Of the multi-channels, 9Go had the biggest percentage at 3.9%, followed by 10Bold, 7TWO and 7mate all on 2.6%.
