McDonald’s claims ‘world’s most exclusive beef’ in campaign for Wagyu burger

A man on a quest to “find the world’s most exclusive beef” which is “so rich, so rare, so desirable” has his adventure cut unexpectedly short when he locates it at McDonand’s.

The ad was created by DDB, with the tagline “A world first for Maccas”.

The voiceover also warns burger eaters that the range won’t be around for long.

A shorter 15-second ad has also been created, explaining the ingredients which consist of “crispy bacon, caramelised onions and tangy signature sauce”.

McDonald’s summer campaign, also created by DDB and backed by the Lovely Day by Bill Withers tune, was recently cleared by the ad watchdog, despite various accusations from viewers the ad was ‘paedophilic’ and featured ‘disturbing’ shots of kids.

The watchdog disagreed with the complainants’ sentiment saying the ad had an overall tone of innocence and fun.

McDonald’s recently shifted its PR account from Eleven to Mango Communications further consolidating its relationship with DDB.
