Melbourne Polytechnic chooses Publicis Mojo for relaunch assignment

The North Melbourne Institute of TAFE has appointed Publicis Mojo Melbourne to lead communications for its repositioning and relaunch as Melbourne Polytechnic.

The announcement:

The North Melbourne Institute of TAFE, one of Australia’s prominent tertiary education providers, is repositioning and relaunching as Melbourne Polytechnic and has chosen Publicis Mojo Melbourne to lead communications for the transformation.

With a new $19 million grant in place from The Victorian Government, Melbourne Polytechnic will continue its transformation to become a more competitive and attractive education destination not only for Victorian-based enrolments, but also for students nationally, across Asia Pacific and reaching out to Europe. The Polytechnic focuses mostly on courses in the creative arts industries.

“The brand communications assignment is a very important piece of our transformation and future success,” said Interim CEO of the new Melbourne Polytechnic, Ron Gauci. “We chose Publicis Mojo after reviewing several agencies because of their multi-communications resources and clear response to our multi-layered brief in reaching out to our target audiences.”

Publicis Mojo Melbourne has already developed the new branding, as well as full-page press ads focusing on the name change, but in the coming months will move into a full international communications program across multiple media channels.

“Education is such a valuable industry for Australia and it is also highly competitive,” said Publicis Mojo Melbourne managing director James Graham. “A strong sense of brand, opportunities and outcomes for students will be the focus for future communications for Melbourne Polytechnic and we are well into the process of designing how those messages will be clearly conveyed.”
