Pepsi Max launches new phase of campaign, offers free rides to Sydneysiders
Pepsi Max has partnered with GoCatch, launching the latest phase its ‘disruptive’ Max campaign by offering Sydney locals free rides in the Pepsi Max Kombi for the month.
The multimillion-dollar summer campaign, which launched in November, has included work with V8 Supercar driver Chaz Mostert, partnerships with social websites, and the Combi van’s December offering of free transport to the beach.
As part of the new instalment, 15,000 Pepsi Max cans will be offered in GoCatch vehicles over the Australia Day weekend, and a promotion through Pedestrian.TV will give one customer and four friends the chance to be chauffeured by the van on Australia Day.
A branded Snapchat lens will also launch on Australia Day, which aims to bring to life the TV ad which aired in November.
GoCatch customers will also see the Pepsi Max Kombi van in the app, and will be able to request bookings.
Tami Cunningham, marketing director at Pepsi said the latest campaign was about “inspiring” Australians to enjoy summer.
“We are excited to bring this to life for our consumers and make some of the pain points of summer more bearable through GoCatch’s technology,” said Cunningham.
Genevieve Liston, head of marketing and partnerships at Go Catch said the Max Your Summer campaign was an “innovative” way to make life easy for commuters.
Why would anyone want to ride in that vs. just get an uber or taxi?

I did a similar activation in Brisbane for a bourbon brand launch using massive F250 American style trucks and had no shortage of people keen for a ride.
